The Male Gaze Lands on You.

So one day, you're sat in some cafe with your beloved boyfriend. You guys are solid. I mean like YEARS of commitment solid. No cheating, no suspicion, just two people who fell in love and made it work. You're looking at him thinking "damn, i did well". Then suddenly, in walks a woman who is by no means a supermodel, but is beautiful enough in her first impression alone for you to think "holy shit, she's gorgeous".

As she passes your table, right next to your boyfriend's face, you see his eyes shift to something in the room. For a fraction of a second, a horrifying, terrifying second, you convince yourself that he HAS to be looking at her.

And that scares the shit out of you.

You start thinking "maybe he was just glancing at that poster or that interesting clock" and hoping to the high heavens that maybe, just maybe, you misinterpreted that optical shift.
Then the insecurity kicks in. "He must prefer *enter any given physical trait that opposes yours here*...why is he with me?".
Then you kick yourself for being so dramatic over such a stupid, small thing that may have just been the product of your overactive imagination.
Then it lingers in your head all day. You wonder if he even noticed her. Then you conclude he must have but leave the topic for fear of hearing that yes, he was checking out DAT ASS.

Now take a step back and think logically. Woman, gather yourself together and think.

IF your wonderful man was indeed looking at that fine specimen of womanhood.
IF he did in fact find her wonderfully attractive.
IF he was single, he probably would have gone for "that type"

The thing you must tell yourself is that of all the women, in all the shapes and colours and sizes and styles available, your man chose you. For a reason. And that reason means everything.
This man has looked at the options and by some chance of fate has found his way into your heart and your life. And this dude is still here!

Instead of looking at other women and fearing that our men prefer them over us, just ask yourself why exactly his eyes passed straight over here and landed back onto your gorgeous face, continued sipping his coffee and proceeded the conversation with you. That chick is pretty, but she ain't you.

You get me?
